Size Guide – How to Measure Your Space
To ensure your new wall décor fits perfectly, we recommend measuring your wall and surrounding area before placing an order. Use a standard measuring tape and follow these steps:
1. Wall Width
Measure the total width of the wall where the artwork will hang. This helps determine the maximum size your décor can be.
2. Wall Height
Measure from the floor (or top of furniture, if placing above a sofa/bed/console) up to the ceiling.
Tip: Leave enough space above furniture (typically 20–30 cm / 8–12 inches) for a balanced look.
3. Furniture Reference (if applicable)
If placing art above a sofa, bed, or console table, measure the furniture width.
-
A good rule of thumb: artwork should be about 60–80% of the furniture width.
4. Spacing & Arrangement
-
For single large pieces: ensure enough wall space around the artwork so it doesn’t look cramped.
-
For multi-panel or gallery sets: measure the full area including spacing between each panel (usually 2–5 cm / 1–2 inches).
5. Room Perspective
Step back and visualize the artwork size relative to your room. Painter’s tape or cardboard cutouts can be used on the wall to preview the scale.
👉 Choosing the right size not only ensures your artwork fits, but also enhances the overall harmony of your space.
